Dandara Living are developers and operators of apartment buildings designed specifically for the rental market. The company was established in 2016 with a vision to create great places for people to live at a price most of us can afford.

Build to Rent

Renting a home is becoming increasingly appealing to a range of people at different stages in life, from young people moving away from home for the first time through to older people wanting to downsize. As demand for rental is increasing and people are asking more from their homes, so too is the level of professionalism and quality of the offer.

Our developments

Our offer has been born from a combination of factors led by what customers want - both from their homes, and their relationships with landlords and neighbours. We recognise that life in a build to rent development is about much more than the apartment you live in, and so when considering the design of our buildings, we prioritise what matters most to people.

Shared spaces

Each of our developments has a range of different areas where people can work, including lounge and kitchen areas, as well as private rooms available to book for parties. Many of our developments also have well-equipped gym and studios on site.

Apartments

Typically, each of apartment will have its own private balcony or terrace. All of the kitchens will be fitted out with integrated appliances and the bedrooms all have built in wardrobes. The two bed apartments have equal sized ensuite bedrooms, making them perfect for sharers.

Landlord and tenant relationships

At the centre of our relationship with our customers is the tenancy agreement. Ours has been developed to provide maximum security of tenure for the people who live in our buildings together with an ability to put down roots, and make the home their own by decorating or moving in their pet with them.

Social activities

Our on-site teams organise social events throughout the year as well as facilitating the various interest-led clubs such as cycle groups, gardening clubs, book clubs, that are created according to the interests of the residents at that development.

Dandara Living is the specialist build-to-rent division of the Dandara Group.

In the 30+ years since the group was founded Dandara has become a leading provider of residential homes - it has delivered over 13,500 homes and 1.7 million square feet of commercial and retail space.

Dandara Living is on target to become the largest developer and operator of ‘build to rent’ (homes designed specifically for those looking to rent), in the UK, with 5 sites already open in Leeds, Manchester and Aberdeen and another 12 in the pipeline.

Awards

Dandara Living were voted number one property management company on Homeviews in 2021 and have been shortlisted in 2022. All of the company’s open sites are now ranked by residents as either first or second within their cities on Homeviews.

Our other sites in Bristol

Our first development is currently under construction at Little Paradise, one of the five developments which form Bedminster Green. The development will be 316 apartments due for completion in 2024. We are awaiting a decision on our ‘plot 5’ application at Bedminster Green which would see 330+ new homes with 30 per cent affordable provision.

Stafford Yard

A development of up to 316 apartments, with blocks ranging from 3 to 16 storeys.

The development will include resident amenities such as a gym, a lounge and retail space, as well as courtyards, private balconies and roof terraces with vegetable beds.
